Course topic

Every company is covered by Data Privacy and Data Protection Regulations. The new General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) is applicable to all EU countries as well as to all countries that operate with the EU. So also Switzerland. Organizations must be more careful in enforcing compliance with personal information (PII). The requirements and penalties for data breaches are much higher.

This course provides an overview of the rights and obligations of companies in the processing of personal data. The course provides you with appropriate options to decide on how to handle PII and other data.

Course topic

ISO/IEC 27001 provides a model for the creation, implementation, use, testing, maintenance and improvement of an information security management system. The establishment and deployment of the system are geared to the needs, objectives, information assets, security requirements, processes and other characteristics of an organisation.

As a formal specification of the standard, ISO/IEC 27001 determines and encompasses the requirements for an information security management system:

  • Information security management system

  • Internal ISMS audits

The unique aspects of cloud security (privacy) are covered by ISO/IEC 27018.
